About Us
I'm Emily and my husband is Marcus. We met as teenagers and have been together for almost 20 years. We both grew up camping with our families and in scouts. Marcus was in Boy Scouts and I was in Venture Scouts, which is a part of Boy Scouts.

Through scouts, I was able to go backpacking on the Superior Hiking Trail, at Philmont Scout Ranch twice, at Glacier National Park, and several other amazing camping trips to Scout camps and State Parks in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
​
I'm also a swimmer. I love participating in open water swim events, and that has been the starting point of many of our trips.
​
We have three children - P is smart, funny, and loves reading. T is smart, kind and a goofball. He loves pretending to be a ranger. V is the youngest, she is very determined and funny. They all love camping and exploring.
​
We also have two dogs. Max is our 10 year old standard poodle. We rescued Polo, our 2 year old miniature poodle in March of 2022. They love camping and join us when we visit Minnesota and Wisconsin State Parks.
